Progress & Regress -- Coming Soon to Hoboken, NJ !
Our photo series "Progress & Regress" first appeared in public in May 2011 when the Hoboken Public Library displayed the 18 color and black & white images for a period of two weeks.
The images were taken by CDi and friends over a period of several months in early 2011, when fire threatened the already vulnerable and deprived ecosystems of the Parque National La Visite National Forest near Seguin, Haiti. The images disturbingly alarm the viewer to the threats posed by unsustainable use of natural resources, in particular timber used for cooking fuel, and of current agricultural practices deployed out of necessity on the Seguin Plateau.
For additional views and information on the eco-crisis, please have a look at this slide-show.
We also offer an expanded version of Progress & Regress in this hardcover coffee table photo book. Send us an email if you're interested in obtaining a copy.
Progress & Regress, featured above, has since been publicly shown on various occasions, notably during the 2011 Sotheby Employees Art Show. If you have ideas or opportunities to display these framed images ( 8 x 10 and 10 x 13 ) please shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or use the our online contact form.
